Answers:

I think you mean pepper mix, I am a big fan of it, you can make it yourself at home, like the Italian giardenara, it to can be spicy, the peppers if they are not sold alone can be purchased at a Greek deli or in the pickle aisle in some supermarkets.

What I did when I was a chef, was to buy a jar of peppers and then make the rest at home, and at this time of year, the cauliflower, carrots, celery and red sweet peppers are cheap.

Just drain the liquid off the peppers, and add 2 cups of water, 1/2 cup of salt, 1/2 cupof vinegar, a bay leaf and if you like it really spicey a few more whole or chilli flakes, bring this to a boil, then mix the peppers and other veg, pour the hot mix over, and let it stand for awhile, the refrigerate it for a couple of days to build the flavours.

I would use a glass bowl or stainless steel one, plastic is going to transfer flavours and alumium will react with the acid. If you have afew empty jars just pack it into them the pepper jar will due.
