Any south africans - or know about SA food? What the F is rusk??!

Question:

Any south africans - or know about SA food? What the F is rusk??

In england rusk is a special kind of biscuit we give to babies.
My neighbours mum just baked me some and I like it (yum dunked in my tea at night!)
But what is it? I'm comparing it a bit to Italien Biscotti but its not quite. What is it made of/how is it made?

Answers:

In Germany, Rusk is called Zweiback( which is what we call them here in the states & I remember my brothers teething on them as kids), in France it is called biscotte. Basically it is just a yeast bread that is sliced, then baked until dry, crisp and golden brown. Some of the breads they use are slightly sweetened, which is why they taste so nice dunked in tea.
