Cuisine served everywhere...?!

Question:

Cuisine served everywhere...?

In every country, state, city or place, the restaurants/food chains would predictably be American, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Mexican & Italian Cuisine. Rarely Thai.

What I've been wonderin' about is WHY is it so? Sometimes we'd like to think that it has somethin' to do with population in a particular area. But tell you what? It doesn't really follow. It doesn't really work that way. For instance, at a food court there is a Korean Resto but I am fully aware that people in that area are mostly tourist...mostly Europeans even.

My question is WHY is it always Chinese, Korean, American, Mexican & Italian? How about Cuban, Persian, Filipino or Spanish food? Think about it and give me your sensible and rational inputs.

Answers:

I live in South Florida. We often, if not always, have Cuban, Filipino, Peruvian, Argentinian, etc. You need the cooks-- and you need the audience.
