Mexican Food; The Best?!

Question:

Mexican Food; The Best?

When I was in middle school, I had a Latino friend who I would hang out with after school. We'd go over to her house and she'd make me Mexican food, like beans and rice, and one time even warm milk with a cinnamon stick in it!

They were all really good, and so I ask to see if anyone else has had really good Latino food, what they though, and if they had the recipes!

Answers:

this is a recipe a really old mexican lady gave to my grand mother. it is for chimichanga's they are fantasic.

you will need:
1 4 pound pot roast
2or3 medium onions
6 cans mild green chilis
1teaspoon salt[optional]
1 dozen flour tortillas

serve with:
sourcream
shredded iceburg lettuce
guacamoli
shredded chese
refried beans
salsa

take a pot roast about 4 # and boil until it shreds apart.

pull the meat apart into stings, and return to broth. boil down until meat is barely covered with broth

add 2 or 3 medium onions chopped
6 cans mild green chili [ I think they are 4-6 oz cans ] cook over low heat until almost dry and turn off fire
spread small amount into flour tortilla and roll as for burrito, closing both ends
fry in very hot greased about 1/2 " deep turn only once
remove to paper towel to drain

you can put cheese and/or refried beans in with the meat if desired

serve with shredded iceburg lettuce , sourcream, salsa and guacamoli

when I make this, the whole neighbodhood wants to come
