Do you think that middle eastern food is too generic of a term?
since there's distinct foods from several middle eastern countries
Answers:
absolutely too vague. The spices in each country can vary wildly, changing food, even desserts, like baklava and halva into VERY VERY different items. Every nationality deserves to have it's proper reverence and presence. Why is it that when a restaurant bills itself as Middle Eastern, they try to muddle it all down confusing half the spices, trying to "westernize" it anyway. Isn't that the point of going to the restaurant is to taste the authentic cuisine?
