Sushi Restaurant?!
Sushi Restaurant?
A friend has invited me to a sushi restaurant and I have accepted. I've never been to a sushi restaurant before though. I love all Asian cuisine and I am looking forward to it, but I wonder if there is anything I should know going in for the first time? Any food recommendations? Any information at all would be helpful.

The fresher, the better! Always ask your server/sushi chef about what fish were caught or obtained that day. Either that, or ask what he/she would recommend.
If you're leery about raw fish, there are some types of sushi and sushi rolls that are usually cooked--examples would be an Alaskan roll or Unagi (freshwater eel that is grilled and served with a sweet-tangy sauce). You can't go wrong with anything including crab (my favorite!).
For neophytes, I would suggest trying a Rainbow Roll, which is essentially a California roll topped with tuna, salmon, whitefish and avocado. Happy eating! You're going to love it.
