Don't Mexican restaurants serve chili anymore, i.e. chili verde?!

Question:

Don't Mexican restaurants serve chili anymore, i.e. chili verde?

I live in the El Paso, TX area and it looks like the Mexican restaurants serve tacos, enchiladas, flutas, and carnitas, but when it comes to chilies, they don't seem to offer according to their menus. Anyone from the area happen to know where I could get some chili verde?

Answers:

people seem to forget that a lot of the southwest used to be Mexico so the food IE. green chili's that are from here could be construed as Mexican food (America) my in laws are of Mexican descent. & i agree with the green chili in New Mexico. we get it here & it is awsome. it can range from mild to XXX hot plus.
