There's a Thai dessert That I don't know the name of..?!

Question:

There's a Thai dessert That I don't know the name of..?

It had a orange ( in color) custard beneath rice with a coconut syrup it was really good but I can't remember what it was. Does anyone know the name or what I'm talking about?

Answers:

It COULD be the mango and sticky rice the above answerer said, but.....
are you saying that the rice is UNDERNEATH the custard?

It sounds like "Kao Neow Sanghaya". The "custard" you described is actually CUSTARD - steamed egg custard Thai style, placed over sticky rice mixed in sweetened coconut milk.

Hope this helps

(not sure what's this "tapioca" she was talking about though. Also... "boil the sticky rice"?? I have NEVER heard of anyone boiling sticky rice before - it is ALWAYS steamed. Boiling wil make it absorb too much water it will never "stick" together)
