BELGIUM IS COCOA Heaven?!

Question:

BELGIUM IS COCOA Heaven?

DO THEY GROW IT THEMSELFES? I KNOW THEY GROW A LOT OF VANNILA AND SUGARS

Answers:

Agrees with Osmei. European law permits cacao butter to be substituted with as much as 5% of much cheaper vegetable oil.

Belgian law responded with defining chocolate as made with 100% cacaobutter, anything else cannot be labeled as chocolate.

I think, though not sure, Switzerland is the only other country with similar legislation.

Belgium does not grow its own beans but imports them from all over the world. Each bean gives its unique flavor to chocolate.
