Anyone else here like Natto?
What do you tend to mix it with apart from rice.

When I worked for a Canadian hotel chain and we took over a property in Tokyo, I spent 5 months working with the staff on the western menu. I sed to have it practically every day, acquired taste, is a matter of speaking or choice, nasty as the one young lady said, not really.
I used to eat it in the traditional way with a raw egg on it over rice, with the the seaweed sprinkles, and large glass of hot tea. It is a great energy boost, I still when I get to my favorite Japanese store on Queen St here in Toronto, try to pick up a few sleeve of it, it is vacuum packed and is not cheap, I pay $2.99 for a 300 gram package, I keep it in a Zip lok bag after opening, but I love limburger cheese so it is not a problem.
Other than rice, I watch the Japanese version of Iron Chef on occasion and Morimotto did some interesting things with it I am going to try, like a fritter on sugar cane and a dessert with a Coke syrup, it is something you can experiment with, I have made rice balls and served it in a white miso soup with bonito shavings and green onions.
