Have you ever tried Ethiopian food?

Did you like it? I could not eat it. I thought it was disgusting.

They have this bread, but it's not really bread, it's sponge-like and you are supposed to dip that into the slop that is served to you on the plate. And nothing tasted good.

And you eat with your hands out of a communal bowl...

Yeah, I wasn't all that impressed either when I tried it. I'd have been much happier if I had a fork. We did have a chicken dish that was pretty good.

The bread has a sour flavor to it, and it had an odd texture for us Americans. I really think my problem with the whole meal was a texture issue. We're just not used to sponge bread, pre-chewed food, and eating without utensils.
