Is it ignorance or what?
i recently came to china but to my suprise, some people here think africa is the same. For instance they will tell you or ask about sudan and i am from southern africa (namibia). How am i supposed to know a country that is far like sudan? I can,t believe there are people who think africa is the same.

Unfortunatly a lot of people aren't that well educated and not everyone knows that Africa is a continent that is made up of different countries for example when I went to New York in February everyone thought I was English but I'm Scottish cos they all think the UK is all one country and they don't know the difference between the accents. It can be ignorance or lack of education cos they often go had-in-hand.
