Question about sushi...??
Ok so me and my husband arent big on sushi although i do like the shrimp tempura..thats about it...we ordered some chinese today and i ordered a roll..so we see like this thing of green stuff and my husband thinks it smushed up avocado and puts it on a piece of the the roll and spits it up immediately! then while hes washing his mouth out i smell it and it has this stong nasty smell which is now like stuck in my nose bcz i can still smell it!! what was it!!???? whats it for? do people eat that??!!

oh...wasabi...yea so that must be it but
my husband says it didnt taste spicy though..he said it tasted nasty...we eat spicy..i mean spicy.!!.!
so is this like a different kind of spicy.??
Do you kno how to get the aroma out of your nose?? its kinda making me sick :(

Wasabi is related to horseradish. So, yes it is a different kind of spicy. My mom used to trick us into smelling the horseradish (which burns your nose a bit). As for cleaning out your nostrils, smell some ground coffee. There is something in it that breaks loose the molecules in you smeller (a technical term). They do it all the time at candle stores etc. where you have to smell many different things and they all start to smell the same.
As for the nasty, Sushi is Japanese and if you are getting it at a Chinese restaurant, remember, sometimes places that do too many things do few of them well.
