lol, then why did you put it in quotes? italian for one Mostly when I cook Italian food. oregano is great when making pasta sauce,on roast meats,and on salads,like a nice Greek salad... why is 'oregano' in quotation marks? do you actually mean oregano, or another word for "oregano"? hmm? I use it on menudo, the breakfast of champions. I take a pinch between my palms and grind it over the bowl. I use it in my sauce when I'm making spaghetti or any kind of pasta. You can also use it on chicken. Theres other dishes too. when i make roast duck or chicken, pizza, pasta, lasagna, many other dishes as well. Mexican, Italian, Mediterranean and other. The best oregano is grown in Greece. I use it in many recipes such as, tomato sauce, meatballs, roast lamb, lamb chops, fried or grilled fish, salad dressing, and of course, pizza. I have used it primarily in Italian cooking -- in both red and white sauces, garlic and oil-based sauces, and also as an addition to the cheese mixture I use for manicotti or lasagna dishes. I also use it when I feel like having Italian-style roast beef. I tend to use more basil than oregano, but I do like them both.

It has been know to be antispasmotic, Clamtaqive, diaphoretic, expectorant, stomachic, and tonic properties. A quick tea can settle an upest stomach and indigestion. The tea, a bit stronger, can helpo to relieve headaches, coughs and other respiratory irritations. It's also a common seasickness preventative. It makes a calming and soothing addition to a warm bath and done before bedtime, will induce you to fall asleep quickly.

It also has a Magickal; history as well. It eshibits aspects of the Male quality, is governed by the planet Mercury and ruled by the element of Air. It was the favorite herb of Venus and Aphrodite and has been used in love spells, protection amulets, protection against colds and flu and can be used in money spellworking as well.

Raji the Green Witch once in a while afterall yes i do eat mcdonalds fast food all day everyday I like it in Mediterranean foods. Anything that has a tomato base (or olive oil) is enhanced with oregano. If oregano is not available, then marjoram is also suitable. spaghetti sauce. flavoring for savory sauces, for seasoning a chicken with other spices and herbs. It is great with basil. Yes, I use it on baked chicken, in pizza and spaghetti sauce, and even put a dash of it in some mexican salsas I make.
