And I had to look for the meat in it. Why dont they realise SOME people will pay more for better quality.

Answers: If a food product has the word 'flavour' describing it, normally it means the genuine food item isn't in there. lol x Like yourself I would rather pay more. Perhaps they should have two different ranges - a budget and a high quality range. john Kerry's wife owns heinz. See how she scrimped on you? thats how John Skerry would have done to you and this country! We live in a crazy world where people will try and sell you something that is flavored to taste like something else ! What is wrong with good honest food that is healthy and nutritious and may cost a little more but would be of benefit to everyone in the long run ?
The easy answer is to shop locally for fresh organic produce but in our cash rich, time poor society this rarely happens. that subject is a can of worms. anyone that buys canned soups
EXCEPT on sale is a fool.
the manufacturers assembly plants reduce the cost to penneys and market it at gross proffit.
there is only a very few that are under $2.00..
If you own a crock pot you should know how cheap and easy it is to make soup or stew.
It is the same old problem most people have no time to complain and have too much money to really care.
but we have "Fair Market Value" that consumers can not regulate then individual grocers write off unused food as tax losses.. I have never even heard of that particular "flavor"! Agree with AJ, the soup will just contain the "flavour" of cumberland sausgage and veg. Try making your own, and benefit from a healthy meal that has a fraction of the salt/sugar/additives and preservatives that they bung in these little tin coffins of crap. There are thousands of internet sites that offer good wholesome soup recipes, many can be made from the ingredients left over from dinner the night before.
Go ON! give it a go. I bet your Cumberland Sausgage and veg soup will have all your mates round begging for more!
