Help!! I think I have just eaten my neighbours cat!!!!?!

Question:

Help!! I think I have just eaten my neighbours cat!!!!?

I have just had a chinese takeaway, (chicken in black bean sauce, and my wife had chicken curry.) I am convinced the meat was not chicken, the texture was not right, when you cut into chicken, it is slightly stringy, right? well this was smooth, and rounded texture, almost slimy, rather like scallops, it was not off, or anything, but my wife said it too, there was just something not right about it,( and I have had a few chinese takeaways in my time) The local newspaper has recently had an article about a lot of missing cat's in my area, including 3 close neighbours. What should I do? take it back? report it? leave it? What would you do? I don't want to get anyone into trouble, these guys work hard. But I don't want people to lose their pets either.I am suspicious, and so are other people in our area.

MikeL What is your problem? can you not read? my question is about a CHINESE TAKEAWAY for goodness sake. Please read the question before adding your hate filled nonsense. You could find a lab that can identify the type of meat, and if it turns out to be feline instead of poultry, I would take the sample to the police and let them handle it.

You don't want anyone to get in trouble because they work hard? All sorts of really bad things are done by people who 'work hard'. Your food may not have been chicken. Don't you be the chicken here. I would just say file a complaint to the manager and don't go to that restaurant anymore. maybe there was a coyote or mean dog or something eating the cats.

although you never know, i doubt the restauraunt used cats in their food. If this is a serious inquiry please talk with your local animal control and health departments. They are professionals. In all likely hood you just had a poorly cooked meal and this is a coincidence. But if there is someone in your neighborhood killing cats this should be brought to the attention of the authorities. Kids that torture & kill animals grow up to be murderers. If you live in an area where there are predators such as bears, wild dog packs or coyotes the explanation could be much more innocent. The sub-urban interface with nature is a great easy feeding ground for wild animals. what kind of fools RU
you can not let your dog OFF your property to roam..
any cat in MY yard is vermin, feral and predator
trapped drowned and garbage caned

You people are your own worst problem.

your local health department is responsible for such violation investigations
follow comon sense
and keep your vile pets inside.
check your local laws I HAVE. Anyone who lets their pets roam in an urban / suburban setting is inconsiderate toward their neighbors and irresponsible to their pets. Many missing-pet cases involve animals being taken from their own yard, though.

The questioner was asking about food they bought, not a pet of theirs that went missing. So I don't know where MikeL's angry, hate-filled spew came from. But his panties are clearly in a wad over some da*n thing here, and I hope he checks with his doctor soon -- maybe his prescription needs some adjustments.

("You people" indeed. Hmph. Did you have to learn to be so offensive, or were you just born that way?)
