Do you have a recipe for "Pan de Seda?" (That's Spanish for "Silk Bread.") It's made in a pan like a cake.
Mom, who was born and raised in Mexico, used to make this when I was a kid but lost the recipe somewhere. It was made in a cake pan, like cake or cornbread, but had a totally different texture. Unlike cake, it was sweet enough to eat plain and needed no frosting of any kind. It had a waxy shine to it's top. I've searched in vain for a recipe on the Net. It's probably out there but just with a different name since the bread was possibly oriignally a recipe brought from France or Spain.
