Answers: Goats are related to sheep, so I will say it takes like sheep. Do you know what halal means? Halal is an Arabic term meaning permissble. Muslims are to slaughter their animals in a ceratin way in order for the meat to be halal. The basics are to use a clean sharp knife and then mention With The Name of Allaah/God, and Allaah/God Is Great. The animal must be treated kindly and shouldn't see the knife before slaughter. All of these things are for a reason and there is much more to it. goat is delicious if prepared correctly It tastes like lamb Tastes like lamb. Very nice curried with rice though. Delicious in a curry. It tastes like a little kid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol xxx similar to sheep. but slightly different. it's slightly sweeter than lamb .. I use it often and here's a simple 'home grown' recipe

500 gms (1 lb) goat meat .. fry until slightly brown .. now put into casserole (or slow cooker) add one pint of chicken stock, sliced (not diced) carrots, celery, potatoes (cut up small) one small onion, chopped into small lumps .. add about a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce and cook (in casserole about 3-4 hours at about 200) in slow cooker for 8 hours .. and then send me an invite to help you eat it Goat meat tastes not nearly as strong as lamb, but you can use it in the same recipes you would use lamb in. If it's a youngish goat then it's not tough, and it's always low in cholesterol.
If the meat is fairly fatty, then a great way to cook it is simply to steam it for a couple of hours. Make sure the water doesn't run out. Then serve with plenty of cumin and salt - each person uses their hands to eat it, removing any excess fat. They help themselves to the cumin and salt. You can eat the meat in pitta breads and serve salads with it.
