What is the most exotic item you have ever consumed?!

Question:

What is the most exotic item you have ever consumed?

I have had Dog, Horse, and Snake.

Answers: Monkey Brains
Monkey on a shish-kabob
Spider soup scorpion in thiland Nothing really "exotic"...octopus. Gator .....yummy! A live spider.

Was asleep (does this still count) and wondered what was in the corner of my mouth upon waking - and pulled out the front legs and head of a nice hairy spider.

I'd apparently eaten the squidgy body.......yuck See the question above yours. Roasted grasshoppers and chocolate covered ants. Blackened alligator as an appetizer. It was at a restaurant in New Orleans.

Dog, horse, and snake. You are sick or are you from the Philippines? Well, perhaps the snake isn't so bad! Eel and ostrich i suppose.. When I was a kid my brother fried an earth worm with his magnifying glass and dared me to eat it. I did. It still gives me shivers thinking about how it tasted and the fact that it was all crispy. Yuck! you are sick if you really ate dog and horse. Well some folks definition of exotic may not be the same, but here are some things I have eaten
Alligator
Antelope
Bison/Buffalo
Elk
Frog
Kobe Beef
Rabbit
Rattlesnake
Wild Boar
Duck
Ostrich
Quail
Chicken feet
Octopus
Squid
Durian
Cashew fruit
Longan
Lychee
Mangosteen
Acai (and other Amazonian fruits) In this country I have had rattlesnake, and of course, gator. Lots of other wild meat.

In France I had horsemeat.

In China I had chicken feet (although you can get them here) and jelly fish salad and many things I could not identify.

Also lots of "mystery" meat in Mexico. I would ask what it was and they said "animal", I said " Que animal?" and they replied, (after a whispered conference), "RAM!" I am pretty sure it was goat, however.

I will try anything once. :) Ha ha, I am a real homebody. The most exotic thing I have had is Scrapple. That was just gross! What is in there is 100 times worse than the taste.

Out of curiosity, where did you have dog? Korea? I am just asking because I traveled to Asia, and am just wondering. squid, octopus, turtle soup, eel
