The hottest pepper is the NAGA JOLOKIA, color doesnt matter. Even habaneros, scotch bonnets ---- yellow, orange, mixed ---- doesnt matter, they are HOT!!

In this case size matters, not so much the color.

depends on what peppers are used in it,, typically Green chile are in green chili and you can get them in any heat range,

red chile is made with habenero, japelenos etc, and can be super hot,
