Answers: I have searched the net, I think it is grown in India and the Phillipines
Bitter Melon is very common in Chinese Grocery stores or other Asian grocery stores. Depending upon where you live, it can even be found in regular supermarkets.

Also, if you want to grow your own, seeds are readily available.

If you live near a Ranch 99 market, they sell it there.
You can buy a whole bunch of them at Asian supermarkets.
Try your local Asian grocer or fruit grocers in Hawaii. Also contact New Sagaya, an Asian/American chain that can order exotic produce.
my dad has some. get them at whole foods.
Oriental stores and bitter melon is so nasty but its good for you and you have to knnow how to cook it
ALL of the Indian grocery stores carry it. It's called KARELA.

Just check the ones in your area and ask if they have it.
I was in Albertson's in Vista, CA last week, and they had it.
