What is the best dessert without milk in it (ok to have cheese or butter)?!
Answers: Additionally, I am trying to find great Indian vegan desserts. Any tips would be helpful.
My friend's children are lactose intolerant, she substituted soy milk for many Indian desserts. She esp liked Soy Silk Vanilla, used it for gulab jamuns, ladoos, burfi, gajjar halwa..
I have personally had her dairy free desserts & they were fantastic!

grated carrot roasted and soaked in sugar syrup makes Indian dessert "gajar ka halwa" - its a variation that can be done without adding milk in it.
