Posole help?!

Question: I made a (large) pot of posole last night - electric stove.
I've never used an electric stove. I cooled it most of the way
and put it in the refrigerator. This mroning I started heating it
up and it foamed on top. Does this mean the pork went bad?
There is no chili in it, because I know red chili has a tendency
to spoil easily. Please help - I've got people comign over in 2
hours. I need to know whether I need a back up plan for food.

I am a former chef and have made posole and menudo a number of times with dried white corn, it it may be the corn, as it may have started to ferment, if it was not completley cooled it can shock certain ingedients.

Taste it if has a vinegary taste or like a fizzy feel on your tongue it might have gone off.
