There are lots of great food and delicacies but the best kind of food, it depends on individuals taste.

Some food maybe the best to me but not you, everyone taste varies.

To me some of the best kind of food are
Thai- pad-thai (flat noodles with chicken or shrimp)
Chinese- roasted duck, roast pork, wonton soup (real Asian kind) not the one from American Chinese take-out restaurant
Vietnamese- Pho (flat noodles soup with beef, brisket, beef tendeon, etc...)
Indian- Curry in general. It all depend on the restaurant or the taste, if you can handle spicy, the spicer the tastier.
Italian- Tiramisu (dessert), pasta e fagioli soup.

Just to name a few.........
But there are lots more Great food from all around the world.

Some delicacies include nasty bugs from Thailand which i never try it, but you can see it in Food channel or Discovery channel.
Mexican if my favorite..... I want some tonight, but the rest of the family voted me out. So their on their own. I am not cooking!
For me it's: Italian and Italian-American food, "American" food, parts of others (like fried rice from Chinese-American, parts of some European cuisines/desserts, etc)... Not to be a pain but...to the person above me - spaghetti and meatballs is good but I wouldn't label it as an italian dish...
