What is the origin of tea eggs?!

Question: I know the birth of the creation is at China, but I can't find the specific location like: Shanghai, Taiwan, and etc.
And if it was on a website, please include the link.
I highly appreciate it.
Thanks. :]

Depends on the region of China...also Taiwan...

i think it is found all over the China but maybe Shanghai.

i'm not very sure bout the real origin. i believe it is teochew or hokkien as both dialects love to "滷" stew ingredients with soy sauce and various spices.

( thats not all you burnt )
