What is put in a typical taco in Mexico, and what ingredients would be put in tacos in Texas or California?!

Question: Mexican Tacos are made from smaller corn tortillas that are slightly oiled and the meat can be anything from cow tounge to just plain beef pretty much any meat and topped off with chopped onios, fresh cilantro, lime and a salsa that consists of boiled or grilled pepers and tomatoes and then bleneded usually this salsa is hot to very hot. Texan tacos are usually flour or hardshell and are made with ground beef, they have toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, shredded chees and they use salsa's that are peppers onions tomatoes just chopped up and kind of mild more tangy than hot. My take is that Texan/California tacos are more of a sweet/tangy taste than authentic Mexican tacos that are more savory and Hot.

Hard tacos?

Typically it's ground beef, but it can be anything from chicken to fish to chorizo usually accompanied by lettuce, tomato, cheese, salsa, an onion.

In Mexico, tacos come in all varieties, but they are usually made of some type of grilled meat chopped into small pieces and topped with diced onion, cilantro and lime juice. YUM!! Don't know about tacos in Texas and California...I assume authentic ones would be similar to the Mexican variety but I'm sure you can find ground beef ones as well.

In Texas, we put all kinds of stuff in tacos. Fish, ground beef, fajita beef and chicken, shredded chicken, chorizo, lengua, pork, guacamole, sour cream, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, pico de gallo, cilantro, jalapenos. My favorite tacos are with beans, rice, avocado, sour cream and shredded chicken, jalapenos and salsa verde (homemade not store bought). Especially in the southern parts of Texas, we use lots of the same ingredients they use in real Mexican food because we have a lot of Spanish people in Texas and large parts of Texas are right next to the Mexican border. There are the restaurants that serve Tex-Mex, but we also have lots of great real Mexican food restaurants that are owned and operated by people from Mexico. Our Mexican food in Texas ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!
