Not true about the rats. True that not all Chinese food is 'healthy'. snopes.com is the best place to debunk myths -

Yes the high levels of sodium that they use in there cooking.

I haven't heard of anything like that, but there are some odd Chinese dishes out there that the average American wouldn't eat. Ever watch Anthony Bourdain's show? He goes around the country and eats the local foods and some of it is just downright disgusting, but it's normal for them. Some countries eat dog, but that doesn't mean I'm going to. It's just different cultures with different food.

Sino fear. China is drawing a lot of flak from the US government. Just be careful believing everything you hear.

Ah yes, the old rats and cats myth. Not true.

That's just rumours. Of course, the main concern today is the amount of sodium (40 percent more than what you need in a day is found in a single dish), but aside from that, chicken is chicken and beef is beef! Except that they eat frog legs and "I think" they eat snake's meat, but they won't serve you something and pretend it's something else.

What did they mean by "bad"? Chicken is made from rats? Then where did all the chickens that were sold by chicken farms go?

Do you believe every rumours that comes around?
