Are sugar-apples sold anywhere in the US, preferably Miami?!
Answers: I'm brazilian and I love this fruit but I can't find it where I live, I was wondering if anyone knows if it is even sold in this country, preferably Miami.
This is also known as custard apple, in India we call it "sita phal". It is available in season, ask in the local Brazilian or Carribean markets. Or try an Indian grocery store, after all the Portuguese brought it to Brazil from India!
I love it too & miss eating them also.
Define "sugar apple."
There's a chance it is called something different here...
