Yes, and they have Steakhouses in Japan too!
They also have Sobahouses that serve mostly soups, Sushihouses, of course and fast food.
There are many different authentic Japanese restaurant styles, more varied than here in America!

I don't know about your particular restaurant, but the one's I have been to usually have a little real Japanese food. The very fact that it's a steak house means it is not centered on real Japanese food but on American tastes. However, some authentic food is offered and I have found it to be usually good.
yes. they have those all over japan. when i lived in okinawa i used to go to a jap steak house every sunday after church. it was so good too. i miss that place.
