Escargot.VERMIN OR DELICACY?!

Question: "Vermin" never looks good on the menu.

Answers: "Vermin" never looks good on the menu.

delicacy... definitely

As with so many "foods," it depends on your taste

Dunno

a snail goes in to a porsche dealership tells the salesman he will pay cash for a red porsche as long as they paint a giant yellow S on both doors the salesman asks why and the snail replies that way when i drive down the street people will say look at that S car go, (delicacy yum).

Personally I love them - not so much for the taste ( which is quite mild ) but for the nice chewy texture. Lovely with garlic and parsley butter and plenty of crusty bread.

Depends on your taste. Personally I don't like but I do like frogs legs.

VERMIN (they say the french are too)

Gross, anyway you look at it!!

Delicacy as long as they are cooked properly. Plenty of garlic butter and parsley..They do not have much of a taste and despite what people think they are not delivered in their shells restaurants put them in shells , makes it a little more interesting.

ewwww. They remind me of a shell-less slug. My daughter went outside barefoot the other night and squished one ... had no desire to scrape it off her heel and serve it with a croissant

Yum!! I've only eaten them back home and the moroccan way. They are cooked in a hot, soup, with lots of herbs. I have to say the broth is way better than the snails themselves but they're still delicious. When they are prepared the right way of course!

Doesnt really appeal to me but iv never actually tried it so i guess i cant say....obviously some people eat it so maybe its a delicacy!

Yum Yum
In garlic butter with lovely crispy bread
Or in a blue cheese sauce.
I love whelks & winkles as well

Delicacy... last time I had them was on a "paella" great.

I tried one once and it tasted like burnt rubber.

(Please don't ask how I know what burnt rubber tastes like LOL!)

I love escargot so I'd definitely say delicacy.

DELICACY!!!!! I love it!!!!
