Question: I want to try the world's hottest pepper, the Naga Jolokia pepper. Where can I buy this pepper locally? Is it sold in any Indian grocery stores? Is it inexpensive?

I have never seen them in any Indian store, I have only seen the fresh ones in India. They have a very short shelf life.

They are very rare in the US, I have never seen the fresh chilies nor the dried. You can easily buy seeds or the plants. Most of my friends have just bought the seeds/plants online.

For the US:

There is a hot sauce and spice purveyor in the US called "FireGirls" they have them and the Red Savina Habenero's the second hottest pepper around, I will give you a link, even the Japonica are comparable to the Naga.
