Portugese Steak.?!

Question: I ate a dish in Portugal called Portugese Steak and I absolutely loved it. I holidayed there for 2 weeks and probably ate it 7 times during my stay.

Anyway, it was a nice thick steak in a thick oniony gravy with sliced potatoes on the side.

It was all in one dish but I don't know if it was cooked in just the one dish.

Anyway, does anyone have the recipe or know where I can find one? Have you tried it too?

Here in New England we have many Portuguese restaurants. The steak they serve is pan fried the put back into the garlic and wine sauce made in the same pan. It is served with separately made roasted or fried potatoes And rice, And a sunny side up egg on top. A bit weird huh? Delicious though.
