Whats the diference in noodles and spaguetti?!

Question: Noodles, if you ask me, we Asian eat alot of it like the Itian. Noodles from us Asian is made mainly from rice flour and water. If it's egg noodles, it made from egg and flour.

However, spagetti is made of wheat flour that's bleached or another kind of grain. For a healthy version, whole wheat is used, which is the one I use.

And for those who says spagetti is round and noodles are flat, not true. I've eaten both and noodles aren't always flat. It could be round also, but made of different flour. Both are good depending how you cook and season them.

Noodles are flat. Spaghetti is round. they are made of basically the same stuff: flour, water, eggs, and oil.

Good question. I'm afraid the previous answer is incorrect. I have worked in the pasta industry for 15 years. Noodles, I assume you mean egg noodles are made with egg and sometimes a weaker flour than Durham. Spaghetti, as least in the US is defined as semolina (Durham flour) and water only. No egg. Hope this helps.

They do have almost the same ingredients. The big difference is that noodles have eggs, spaghetti does not.

i think noodles are termed after the chinese. spaghetti is termed after italians.

noodles i think are slimmer than spaghetti

This is a good question. Thanks
I would interpret this more as a difference in term of "heritage" and "style"

Spaghetti is originated from Italy. Although it comes with a wide varieties, they are made in the same form, if in the same name, since it was created. It is usually boiled and then fried or baked with some other ingredients/ sauce, then served hot. I would say the key is always the sauce

Noodles is originated from , I would say, more Asia. There are a wide variety of base ingredients, whether it is wheat or rice, or barn or buckwheat powder. It also comes into different thickness and texture. It may also deep fried first before it is cooked. It can be boiled and fried, or just go with soup. it can be served cold or hot.

My experience and I would like to hear any other opioions. thanks

This is a fairly easy answer and common sense one...Im sicilian so i know my stuff....Spaghetti is from the macaroni family, and noodles is just another name for it.....

Noodles is a generic word to describe certain kind of pasta that american use, spaghetti is "spaghetti".

spaghetti Round
noodles flat.
