Where can I find a cheap Rice Cooker online?!

Question: Usually rice cookers doesn't cost so much at asian markets, is there one where I can order online that's less then $20? It would be helpful if anyone can provide a link, thank you~

I also miss the asian looking rice cooker, they're cute and still works pretty well = ) But any we'll do at this time, I miss eating steamed rice ;_; *cries*

You can also find rice cookers (even the Asian Kind) at Linen n Things, Bed Bath & Beyond, Target or even WalMart.

Amazon sells a decent Panasonic model for $18-20, but it's pretty basic. Then again you really dont need a high tech appliance for rice cooking!!

Here are some online sources:

did you think to go to ebay?
good luck

I don't get rice cookers. Twice as much water as rice. Bring water to a boil, throw in rice, back off the heat to low, cover 15 minutes. Done. What's so hard you need an appliance designed for only one task?

you do not mention where you are..
but Cheep
you will find at thrift stores like goodwill,
Deserett Ind. or some VFW thrift stores etc
Check the yellow pages....

I disagree, Desi. A rice cooker is one of those things that you get what you pay for. I need to cook sushi rice. This has to soak for an hour, cook, rest and then get tossed with the dressing and faned to cool it. 2 1/2 hour labor of love. You don't just add water and boil for 15 minutes like others told you. I went to Amazon.com and bought 3 over 10 months. Even the highest rated cookers under $50 were not very good at the one thing they were intended to do.
I ended up with a Sanyo for about $75. This one is a dream compared to the others or cooking rice in a pot. DONT BUY A $20 RICE COOKER!
