If thats the 'Century Egg', then yes, I have.
Almost lost my breakfast, but earned extra credit points from a tough Asian Chemistry professor.
Urppp!

It is a little tougher than a regular egg but still very tasty.

I had a fellow that worked for me bring it in to work one day. He was from the Philippines.

I had a similar one in Vietnam, not as salty as the Filipino one, I had one of those here in Toronto, it is an acquired taste, like other Asian delicacies, insects, small songbirds, snakes and raw fish.

we know, we know, we all know about balut! It's so talked about these days, hardly seems so exotic. I personally wouldnt eat it but to each his own.

Yes. I'm a Filipino and I have eaten "Balut" a couple of times. Not really a favorite though.

I've eaten it a lot when I was younger now I don't have the cravings for it. I never eat the embryo though, only the yolk and white part of the egg with salt/black pepper/vinegar, that's the only way I would eat it.
