Where can I buy LIVE frog to eat, like at a supermarket in the San Diego Area?!

Question: I remember when i was in the philippines i was running around catching random frogs .. . And my mom would take it and cook them up. It was delicious. But now. . . all they have is frozen frog. Theres are 2 stores that sells frog, but one of them is a pet store and the other store doesnt know when their shipment is coming in and its been 2 weeks now.

So where can i find live frog? And also, is there a way to search for it without being directed to a pet store or biology site?

Hmm... I lived in SD for many many yrs. I would check Point Loma Seafoods. I cant guarantee they will have it but at least ask where you can get it locally. They will know. Maybe an Asian seafood market.

I miss SD!!!

try somehwere in Manilla Mesa

o my goodness yuck :-(

Oh, I get it.

You want to eat them before they croak.

No supermarket, go to a fishery near the docks. Call first to make sure they have them that day. Good luck.

~man oh man...you Filipino's eat some crazy stuff. while im gather up the frogs for you, would u like for me to get u some duck embryos too? yummm nothing like some frog and balut to start the day~

look online you can order anything!

you can get it for free in ponds.how's the idea?

i know chinatown in los angeles sells live frogs for food....im a veggie so i feel weird telling you...

Oh yuck. Um go to Asia!

Why don't you want to buy them at a pet store? Or for that matter, buy frozen frog legs? Not too many ponds around any more, but when we used to catch them, we would freeze some for later. Frogs' legs cooked in garlic butter French style. A great delicacy. And that was in Massachusetts.

sorry about the folks who razz...
I wonder if you gave any thought -- - that it seems difficult to find them
WHY not start an aqua-farm yourself.????
Cal State has many programs to aid this industry.
I know Fish & Game has regulations about frog hunting...
I also know that 30+ years ago the Koi fish were hard to find
now there is a large farm east of Florin.
And 10 yrs ago the Kelly hot springs here started an aqua-farm (I think they do trout )
