Could I get "Mexican" chocolate at a Walmart?!

Question: Just wondering. I'm making Mexican hot chocolate for an extra credit, and all of the recipes insist that Mexican chocolate- an ingredient like bitter cocoa powder or baker's chocolate- is the best way to go. The local Walmarts have been carrying more ethnic variety lately.

By the way, I live on the MS Gulf Coast, so if anyone from around here could yay/nay me that would be great.

i don't know if they sell the powder or the box there but look for the "Abuelita" because that is the one

and i'm about to have one :D

Walmart sells Abuelita brand Mexican style chocolate. It is a Nestle product I think so I don't know how authentic it is. It comes in the traditional cakes with sugar and cinnamon in it. It can be found in the Latin foods section.

Go to the Mexican (or Central American) grocery store.
Walmart imports its stuff from China.

Many Wal Mart stores carry ethnic candy. They have Swiss and German chocolates at the one nearest me, and Japanese candy. If they don't, you could always look for a Spanish market. It sounds like there should be one where you live.

yes you can find mexican cocoa powder at walmart

no i have looked already you will have to try a small mexican store.
