Had them on holiday one and they are horrid. I would rather eat Jellied Eels ........ come to think of it they tasted like Jellied Eels.
You can clarify about 1/4 pound of butter per slug, add fresh minced garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes, serve with noodles or flavored rice.

Fried banana slugs
Take however many bananas you want to make
Slice them the long way to make two long pieces.
Coat them with flour.
Fry in butter (yes, real cholesterol-laden butter) until brown and a bit crispy on both sides.
Remove to a plate.
Sprinkle with sugar.
