Living in New England, there isn't a lot of Manhattan chowder around.Most restaurants serve New England style at least every Friday.That's just a wonderful custom from when the Catholic church had a rule about not eating meat on Friday.
Since I am also lactose intolerant, I look around for Rhode Island style Chowder.It has a clear broth and is yummy.
