Is red bull bad for you?!

Question: Is it really that bad for me? I'm so addicted to it. How many times a week could I drink it? Is it dangerous to drink loads in one day? I heard someone died from drinking something like 7 cans in 5 hours.

I had a coworker who drank 2 a day and he ended up having to be rushed to the hospital with a racing heart rate. The doctor told him very clearly that the red bull is what sped up his heart rate and he almost had a stroke. They had to keep him overnight and he would only drink one on a Saturday or so after that. Yeah, it's bad for you.

im addicted too but don't over do it

yeah if youre drinking that much. especially if its not diet. it is actually possible to overdose on caffiene

Don't know but would like to know. I drink the hell outa that stuff just because i love the taste of it.

I sure hope not cause i love it in my California Car Bombs!!!

High in caffeine. Bad for the heart. Drink in moderation.

It's very dangerous!
My teacher [Yes my teacher] drank 7 of them one day and had a heart attack.
Just be careful, okay?

yes it has twice the effect on you than any other energy drink.
it also enlarges your heart.

yes, you shouldn't drink more than 1 a day, and only if you will be using the extra energy.
It is really bad for you.

It contains Taurine which helps cats see better at night. Outside of an ocassional hairball and bad aftertaste its OK

yeah i can understand y that someone died from drinking that many in one hour. to muchs sugar but one a day isnt goin to kill you and yeah i know it is addicting but try to get off of it as much stick to one or two a day!
:)

anything is bad for you if you eat or drink to much of it. But if you dont over due it you should be just fine.=]

Anything can be bad for you when your addicted to it. As long as you can control the use of "anything", then all should go well.

It all depends what is in it. If it is mostly sugar and caffeine, don't drink it, or consume less of it, because it is bad for your heart. Like I said, it depends on what is in it.

I heard someone had a heart attack just drink it in moderation and you should be fine

it is extreeamly bad 4 you. don'tdrink it if you want to live a healthy and meaningful life

YES!
Once a week would be O.K.
I seriouslt doubt that someone would die because of drinking that much in one day it worse to have like 1-3 a day.

Ok yes it is bad too drink red bull. it is fine probably 1 ever week or so. Red bull makes your energy go way high. if you dont use it, and dont have food in your tummy, it will give you a stomach ache. a very bad one. It speeds your heart rate up and can be dangerous.

Souldn't be, after all it gives you wings....and wings protect you, just ask the people at stay free.

It's not really dangerous if you drink 1 in a day or 2, but if you drink more than it says on the can, you could die just like you said.

its loaded with sugar and caffeine which is definately NOT good for you. i hardly ever drink soft drinks. just slowly each day have less, even if its a tiny bit. slowly, hopefully, ull no longer be addicted to the drink. i love fruit juices and ice cold water. nothing beats how refreshing those can taste. i also eat ice cubes lol

Too much of anyting is no good for you. It is very high in caffeine, so don't drink too much of it. Cut it down to two then one a day and none. Slowly. It can not do you any good, because after it wears off you crash to a "low". Try water instead. lGood Luck.

I love it to. Drinking to much of anything is not good for you. Check out this site..... http://www.energyfiend.com/death-by-caff...

YES YES YES YOU CAN GET aDDICTED TO IT AND DIE!!

It's true. It has, like, 5 candy bars of chocolate worth of sugar, it has tons of calories, it barley has any nutrients, and to top it all of, once you drink it for about month, you either end up fat as heck, or in the hospital. But, if you want to avoid this, drink things like coffee, cappuccinos, or 5 hour energy drink. They're healthier by about 3 times.

Probably, I'm addicted to Starbucks Double shots of espresso.

I limit myself to one a day.. If I have more I crash on the caffeine and get a bit down in the dumps, later in the day.

Drinking large amounts of sugar and caffeine is not a healthy thing to do. Anything that gets your heart rate to an unhealthy level is dangerous and can be deadly in extreme circumstances. BTW did you know that Red Bull has a lot of calories? If anything is addictive, then you know it is not good for you. I for one do not like anything or anyone being in control of me or my body. Get a grip and stop drinking Red Bull for a while. If you eat right, get plenty of sleep, minimum 3-5 days of 30 minutes of exercise, you will not need Red Bull or any artificial stimuli to get you going.

Red Bull contains no more caffeine than drip coffee.

People who have died usually mix it with something, or push their systems beyond normal. I don't think there has been a single incident where energy drinks alone were the contributing factor (assuming you factor out human stupidity).

In some instances, the energy drink excerbates an unknown medical condition, like heart conditions. Large quantities of energy drinks, mixed with hard exercise, can really mess up the cardiac system.

Energy drinks only work by boosting your alertness through caffeine and sugar. They do not give you energy. Caffeine will dehydrate you. Which will be what messes you up.

Other than that, I've been known to drink a diet rockstar in the morning instead of coffee. I like the taste better cause I can mix it with smoothies.

Really bad!
Stop drinking it already!XD
