Jello Brand is no longer selling Cranberry gelatin. Can anyone suggest an alternative?!

Question: If you like cranberries, it's very easy to make your own cranberry sauce. We have it every Thanksgiving and the recipe is on the Ocean Spray bagged cranberries. You boil one cup of water and one cup of sugar, than add the cranberries right out of the bag. Boil gently for 10 minutes, then let them cool and refrigerate. It makes a nice thick sauce full of whole berries. Great with turkey.

Raspberry.

cherry

All the cranberry recipes in this month's magazines that called for gelatin said to use Rasberry.

don't eat jello its made out of horse hooves and other animal parts.

Use the raspberry flavor, but use cranberry juice for the liquid.

Are you sure? Could it be that your local stores are no longer carrying that particular flavor?

Cranberry Jell-O is still listed at their web site. Click on the first source link I posted below.

If you can't purchase it locally, try online. Amazon.com sells this product. Click on the second source link I posted below.

Black cherry might substitute well.

Follow "Mom of Two's" suggestion. I do the same thing (make it at home) and I always get compliments from my guests. I also feel very confident, knowing that I am serving something that is free of chemicals, unlike the gelatin that is prepackaged. Also, the kids enjoy the homemade cranberry gelatin so much that they even eat it as dessert, without the turkey. Strain the mixture if you like it smooth but leave it as is before you chill it in the refrigerator and it will be wonderful.
