Does sea salt contain more sodium than regular table salt?!

Question: I've been reading that sea salt is more flavorful and people are cooking with it more -- but does it have more sodium and dangerous for someone with high blood pressure?

The sodium levels are the same but because it is more flavorful you can get away with using less. So in the end the food you make will have less sodium in it.

sea salt has less sodium than table salt

They have the exact same sodium content...

"There is 1gm of sodium [40%] in every 2.5gm of table salt and sea salt"

Salt is salt, there are many myths spurned by TV cooking shows. Salt is NaCL (sodium chloride). ALL salt came from the sea. Salt that is mined is what remains of seas a few million years ago.
Some people believe Kosher salt have no additives, but that is no necessarily true SOME have an anti caking additive ( yellow prussiate of soda).

I live in Hawaii where we can get Hawaiian sea salt, some of the most expensive salt around, I do use it for table use, but more because I live in Hawaii, not because I think it is any better.

ABSOULTLY IT HAS MORE SODIUM IT IS A FAD, ALSO IT IS MORE TASTY ,BUTT IS NOT GOOD TO EAT IT , ZOOM TO THE MOON AS FAR AS YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE GOES

Its true that sea salt and kosher salt are denser so you use less but it also is used in cooking because it draws the juices out..meaning your meats are juicier...the regular table salt just lies on top of your food...and because you do use less sea salt its not as harmful....but if your concerned there are many salt replacements........ps...they also make a fine sea salt which is the same as table salt!...and every fine restaurant ive ever worked in used kosher salt so dont really think its a fad...lol
