Does anyone know where I can get my food processor blades sharpened?!
Answers: Also, what would the approximate cost be?
Don't know who might sharpen them, but it isn't hard or expensive to do so yourself. A gourmet shop might have a sharpening steel, a 12" round rod of steel with a handle, for you to slide the flat of the blade up and down the steel with the sharp edge tilted a little against the steel so that it touches, of course. Also, hardware or building supply stores carry small sharpening stones for knives that can be used, just tilt the sharp edge a little against the stone, hold it almost flat against the stone and rub it in small circles. If you are doing it right you will see the area along the sharp edge change color a little as it is rubbed off...Regards, Mike
Probably be cheaper to buy a new one(blade not food processor). The other issue is that the blade is probably serrated (my Cuisinart blade is serrated). If this is the case then buying a new one is your only option.
They cost around $30 new. Just search on Amazon or froogle for them.
