Saltine Crackers of Yesterday?!

Question: Yesterday, I was putting some crackers in my soup and remembered that when I was a little girl, the crackers use to come with a red, square shape tab to reseal the bag of crackers with. What every happened to those?

God only knows, companies change things so often, they are hoping we won't notice. When I was a little girl, the saltine was alittle thicker also. Do you remember when they were called soda crackers? I do . . .a long time ago.
