How to open a jar?!
while I'm making myself a cup of tea, I couldn't open the sugar jar.
I have to spin the top to open it but it seems stock!
any suggestion?
or just one sugar babe put a finger instead of the sugar LOL

hold it under hot water for a few seconds then try
Gently tap the lid against the edge of the counter.
How To Open A Jar
If the jar is new, use a triangular-tipped bottle opener to apply pressure and break the vacuum seal. Do this by placing the triangular tip underneath the lid and pulling the lid away from the jar until you pop the seal.
If this doesn't work and you suspect that food is stuck in the lid, tap the lid with a wooden spoon to knock away the food.
Wrap the lid in a dish towel to give your hands traction as you twist. Or put rubber bands around the lid to get a good grip. The rubber bands that hold together bunches of vegetables are ideal.
If the lid still won't budge, run the lid (not the jar) under hot water for a minute. This will cause the metal lid to expand so it comes off easily.
Don't bang it against anything unless you actually like broken glass in your food. Invert the jar and put in a shallow pan of hot water. Let it sit for a couple minutes. Take 2 oven mitts and open the jar. When both glass and metal are heated, metal gets bigger than glass. It will loosen itself.
try pounding the bottom of the jar, and getting a better grip on the jar with a paper towel, rubber band or you're shirt
This works everytime. Take a butter knife and hit the lid on your jar in three different places with the handle of the butter knife. Then try to open. Will open, easy as cheese!
If it is a new, glass jar, I always hold it upside down and POP it a couple of times. Seems like this creates air inside to help break the vacuum seal.
If it is the kind that works like the old-style pop/beer bottles, then you might need to clean the rubber seal on it. Could have some adhesive from manufacturing.
Hold the jar under hot tap water, the heat makes the metal expand which loosens it. If its not metal ??? Put it in a different container !!!
:) pound the bottom of the jar not with a fist but like slaping lol it on the bottom ..ok and then try to open it ..
I always do it ... works everytime ..
OR JUST BUY A NEW JAR not a twist cover
goodluck :)
