NO way!!
noooo.
the chlorination process does NOT kill all bacteria.
that water's been through a different person probably 12 hours before me.
Only boiled water, for tea or coffee etc., but not for drinking.

In the UK yes,,no problems at all,,,

in england, i think pretty much everyone drinks straight out of the tap

in india though, NEVER drink out of the tap, always has to be filtered and boiled first

=)

Tap water tastes the same as bottled water.

Na I drink it straight from the tap. I only boil it when I'm makin bottle for my little baby.

I have a water filter it makes tap water taste much better, tea also tastes better.

I drink straight from the outlet...tastes like sh*t...

Hello mate
I think that the whole, "boil it, boil it" stuff is lies
Depending on where you live, they put anti-bacteria in the water
The cleanest tap water in the world is in Wales
The second cleanest is Birmingham, UK

I am in the UK and only ever used a water filter for the 5 years I lived in Sussex because the water was very chalky. Other then that, from the tap is fine by me!

sure, its just as good as bottled water (UK) VERY REFRESHING.if your really adventures you can chill it in the fridge first

Bottled water is tap water! It's just been purified...which can be done at home for a lot cheaper! So you are drinking tap water! I drink tap water that I filter first!

I was told that it contains so many chemicals that you shouldn't drink it. I do though and nothings happened so far. u cant always buy bottled water

In the USA the standards for drinking water are set by law and all tap water is more pure than bottled.

If you don't like the taste of bottled water, add just a bit of lemon, lime, cranberry, or pomegranite juice. I use about a tablespoon to 16 ounce glass.

yes i do
its fine

Hi, my sister always gets mouth ulcers from drinking the tap water so we have a water filter that we filter it through first, she found that after she did not have so many ulcers and the water does taste different. Water filters are cheaper and easy to use.

Me personally i don't like the taste of council pop, i drink fizzy water from asda as i prefer it but my bf he has a brita water filter and drinks the filtered water

I always drink out of the tap! i think that its just a waste of power, if you boil the water then cool it down, then drink it... if you could just drink tap water straight away!! waste of time and energy if you ask me! (unless you live sumwhere where the waters not safe =] )

People in the US and UK and other developed nations don't need bottled water. People in Africa and other developing areas need bottled water.

Britains tap water is checked and double checked all the time, filtered and processed with a lot of hard work to get it to a high quality. Your kitchen tap is mains so drink away. If you have a tank in your loft chances are every other tap is non-drinking water, as it has been stored in your tank so therefore has been sitting around so not classed as fresh. If you've seen some of the crap in the tanks I've seen, you wouldn't drink from any tap but your kitchen tap.
As for bottled water, why not put some tap water in the fridge then compare it to see if you can see a difference?
Obviously some areas the water isn't as good a quality as other areas (hard water/lead pipes etc), though still well drinkable, unless your abroad, then just avoid it altogether.

Yes I do, but I prefer cold, mountain spring water.

oh no, i drink bottled water or filter it, i cant stand the taste of tap water either. yuck !

Just recently i read that bottled water is no good for your health as it contains too much of salt (high blood pressure, headaches ext follow that). I believe that water with tight closed cap is no any good. The water is alive by the way and if it is bottled so you cannot get much of that "alive" to yourself. I live in London, the water has lots of room for an improvement but I use filter all the the time and from now on I don't use bottled one.

Yes, we do in the US it is monitored by the FDA, and floride is added for your teeth. There is a lot of calcium but it wont hurt you.

To SUE who said, in the US, all tap water is more pure than bottled, you should move to Minnesota. Or Albany, New York. Or Tampa, Florida. Etc. Etc. I travel a lot. And some of the tap water...including in my own home...SMELLS AND/OR TASTES LIKE BLEACH, ROTTEN EGGS, OR A VARIETY OF OTHER BAD SMELLS/TASTES YOU WOULD NOT EXPECT ANYONE TO DRINK!! It depends on the process your city uses to 'purify' the drinking water it supplies. Where I live, I am sure they use some kind of chlorine, because you can smell it when you pour yourself a glass. I wouldn't drink it if my life depended on it...until two months ago, when I finally invested in a Brita Water Purifier you attach directly to your tap. Honestly, I didn't think it would help that much. It claims to remove 99% of toxics out of your water. And I believe it. The water no longer has ANY SMELL AT ALL, and tastes like water should taste. WET!!

Invest in a water purification system. It will save you money. I previously bought tap water to cook with, drink, and even water for my dog came out of a bottle as I was afraid he would end up with cancer or something from drinking all that BLEACH!! It has made a HUGE difference.

No. I also drink only bottled water. Because tap water is disgusting. But sometimes I feel bad because of nature preservation.
At least I separate waste:-/

if it tastes bad then it is bad. I don't drink tap water in the US because of fluoridation. Fluoridation is slow poison. So I drink water that has been through reverse osmosis because sometimes the water is contaminated with other chemicals as well.

yes i always have done, i live in east anglia where we have 'hard water'. it is supposed to help your bones and teeth grow stronger as opposed to bottled water. tastes of chlorine though :(. i'm not so sure... but it's never done me any harm

Yes, i live dangerously!

My family and I always drink from bottle water. The tap water over here smells weird.

i drink it straight from t tap, its fine in the part of england where i come from

In the Midlands its perfect
