For the same reason they don't all eat the same foods in every country. Each country developed traditions for food and beverages over mulit-generations for various reasons, and today the people eat and drink what's best known to them and they were raised eating and drinking.

I do drink tea once in a while (usually herbal), but whenever I'm "dying" for a cup of anything, it's coffee. And we don't have "tea-breaks" here in the US. We call them coffee breaks.

because they drink BEETLE-JUICE!

maybe because we live in a cold country, i dont see the point of drinking hot tea or coffee in africa

No offense, but what rock have you been hiding in? Many countries GROW coffee beans and the best to find them are the Middle East, South America, and Africa.

MANY OF THEM ALSO drink tea, but I notice they like it different forms like chai or other forms of unique taste.

not just them my daughter went to germany recently and couldnt get a cup of tea only coffee

I'm English and don't like tea and rarely drink coffee so I think you may be generalising a bit here

What people drink is really a cultural thing. In Britain tea used to come from the Empire and our trade links with the far east. In France coffee seems more popular and I wonder if this is related to France's colonial ambitions in the same way that tea is to ours.

The BBC programme "In Our Time" on the history of tea is worth a listen. I heard most of it on the radio - really fascinating.

they probably think nasty spirits might come out after them
