What are some easy Lunch-Box options?!
What can I take in my lunch that will help me stay on my weight loss track?
I am lactose intolerant, but can take pills and still eat dairy.
I like sandwhiches, but I have to bag every ingredient seperatly or it turns into a soggy mess. The individual ingredients still get soggy. Any way to prevent this?
Thanks :)
Answers: An investigation was done by a local news group and dead bugs were found in our cafeteria's food storage room and the walk in freezer. The food isn't healthy or good to begin with, but with the added bugs... That's a little too much protein.

Rather than sandwiches, try oil-based pasta salads (the oil will hold up and not spoil as mayo would). You can use a whole-wheat pasta and add tons of veggies, lean meat, whatever you like. Homemade vinaigrettes are very easy to make.
As for your sandwiches getting soggy, it is recommended that you apply a layer of fat to the bread before loading the sandwich, such as mayo, as it creates a barrier between the bread and the moist items. Also, use a hearty, crusty bread, like ciabatta, which is more durable.
A good sandwhich to take is Peanutbutter and apple sandwhich. Spread P.....on both sides of the bread and thinly slice the apples and put on P...... I make it for my son and he really likes it and it does not get soggy.
Packing Edamame in your lunch would be really good too! Healthy and a good source of protein.
You can always slice up some healthy fruits or veggies like
-Sliced up apples, oranges, or clementines, grapes, sliced up pears, strawberries, etc..
-Veggies - Carrots, Celery, Asparagus etc,,
[ you can store all of this in a plastic bag or a small plastic box with a good lid]
For a sandwich
-Tomatoes or Lettuce
-Sliced up ham or those thin slices of sausages you can buy from a food market, salami basically if you are a meat lover put anything in there lol
-Whole Grain bread is very good lol
-You can put any sauces for your sandwich maybe ketchup, Mustard, italian dressing anything lol
Drinks
-Orange juice, Apple, grape anything organic or a healthy beverage
[avoid Sugary products like candy, soda and junk food lol]
Deserts
-Yogurt any flavor is fine as long as it doesn't contain lots of sugar.
-Low Calorie bars or Dark Chocolate which contains Anti-Oxidants.
oh yeah and to prevent soggy-ness lol Just get those double zippered bags by Ziploc or anything from that brand because it really helps with your problem and keeps everything fresh lol
One of my favorite meals when I'm watching my diet is an apple with either peanut butter or sharp cheddar cheese (both are very good). This has both fruit and protein without a lot of extras. I usually cut the apple right before eating it and either dip it in the peanut butter or put the cheese on the apple slices. You can add some crackers or chips if you want some crunch and bread stuffs--there are some new chips called "Flat Earth" which count as a veggie and are quite good. Add a low-cal drink such as diet pop, water, or tea and you're done with a healthy meal.
Hope the weight loss works!
