I like it but it's not the sort of thing I could eat regularly as the taste is quite strong and it is rich. I'd happily have one every Burns Night though, with a dram.
Yes and YES!

Are you having haggis neeps and tatties for St andrew's Day?
My dad used to fry it tastes a bit like blk pudding done that way. Very nice i might add.
I am a former chef and not only do I love it, I have made it for Robbie Burns Suppers, we have a number of Scottish style or based butchers here in Canada and a number here in Toronto.
I have no trouble finding the ingredients or buying it, in slices or small ones, I have used beef casing because the sheeps stomachs are harder to get hold of and beef intestines from Italian butchers used for salami's is a good substitute.
I have made it in the tradition way, even a veggie alternative type with barley and ground portebello mushrooms. I remember as a young chef a guest had a tin of haggis and wanted it heated for a room service meal, and no one knew what it was or how to extract is from the tin, I did it and earned a star from my Executive chef for my efforts.
