Cut the top off, clean it and put in in a cup on a sunny windowsill. When roots start to grow pot it in a decorative pot or plant outside in your garden. They can grow both indoors and out. With the pineapple you can make pineapple upside down cake.

Like she said, I use them for decoration, but the leaves on top can burn if you're stranded on a desert island. Also, you can throw them at people you don't like! They're pointy!
